Apex Property Clearing’s Community Involvement: Christmas Storybook Land
Community involvement is about showing up, rolling up sleeves, volunteering time, and being present when help is needed. Apex Property Clearing & Recycling is all about giving back to the communities we serve. Our commitment was on full display again this season through Apex’s involvement with Christmas Storybook Land (CSBL). This beloved local tradition brings holiday magic to families throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley every year. For Apex, supporting Christmas Storybook Land is part of a much bigger picture: being a community-driven property clearing and junk removal company that believes service doesn’t stop at the jobsite.
Community Involvement Matters to Apex Property Clearing
Every day, Apex Property Clearing & Recycling works with clients who need reliable, respectful, and efficient property cleanup services. Our work often happens during times of transition (move-outs, downsizing, property sales, major life changes). Who you trust to step into these moments matters.
That’s why community involvement is so important to us. We don’t just work here, we live here. Our families live here. Our kids go to school here. The same communities we serve professionally are the communities we care about personally. Christmas Storybook Land is a perfect example of what that looks like in action.
As a local business, we believe in contributing in meaningful ways, especially when we have the ability to help. That belief shows up in how we operate every day:
- We handle every project and property with care and respect.
- We understand how emotional property cleanouts can be.
- We support senior services and disability services.
- We step in when projects are physically demanding or overwhelming.
And beyond our day-to-day work, we look for opportunities to support community events, nonprofits, and organizations that bring people together. Christmas Storybook Land is one of those opportunities.
Our Two-Year Commitment to Christmas Storybook Land
Apex Property Clearing has been a Christmas Storybook Land scene sponsor for two consecutive years. That sponsorship supports the creation of themed scenes families walk through during the event (helping turn CSBL into the immersive holiday experience people look forward to every year). However, for Apex, sponsorship is just the starting point. We wanted to be part of the experience itself, to help welcome families, support the organizers, and make sure the event runs smoothly.
Over the last two years, Apex’s entire crew has volunteered at Christmas Storybook Land as greeters. This year, Apex volunteers were able to participate on two different days, allowing even more of our team to get involved.
A Family-Owned Business, Volunteering as a Family
Apex Property Clearing is a family-owned business, and that family-first mindset shows up in everything we do, including how we give back. At Christmas Storybook Land this season, volunteers included John himself, his wife, and his mom. Our crew members and their families also participated.
Seeing multiple generations volunteering together reflects how Apex operates as a company. We believe in involving family, building relationships, and passing down values like hard work, generosity, and community pride. Apex volunteers were neighbors helping neighbors enjoy a holiday tradition.
Helping Bring Christmas Storybook Land to Life
One of the most significant contributions Apex made this year happened behind the scenes. Christmas Storybook Land relies on donated trees to build its festive environment, which are later donated to families in need before Christmas. This year, Weyerhaeuser generously donated the trees, but they still needed to be transported to the event site. That’s where Apex stepped in.
Apex volunteered its time and sent three trailers to a Weyerhaeuser property to pick up the donated trees, along with three other businesses. 25+ volunteers (including some kids) and three other business owners and their families helped. Together, we loaded 2,000+ trees in just a little over 3 hours. The Apex team included John and two of his drivers, Keith and Lyle. Together, they donated their time, equipment, and labor to help ensure CSBL had what it needed to create the magical experience families expect. This logistical support is essential. Events like CSBL wouldn’t be possible without volunteers.
What This Says About Apex Property Clearing
Community involvement reveals a lot about a company. The way a team shows up outside of paid work often reflects how they operate on the job. Apex’s involvement with Christmas Storybook Land highlights several qualities that matter deeply to our clients. These qualities include:
Reliability
We show up when we say we will for jobs and volunteering.
Teamwork
Our crew works together, supports each other, and takes pride in putting in collective effort.
Work Ethic
Volunteering takes commitment and time away from your own life. That same work ethic shows up on every jobsite.
Care and Respect
People are at the center of what we do. These qualities are essential for real estate agents, brokers, and property managers who need dependable partners they can trust to represent them well to clients.
For homeowners, hiring a property clearing or junk removal company often means letting strangers onto their property (sometimes during a stressful time). Community involvement builds trust before we ever arrive on site.
When you work with Apex Property Clearing, you’re choosing a company that:
- Treats people with dignity and respect
- Understands the emotional side of property cleanouts
- Cares about the neighborhoods we work in
- Gives back to the same community you’re part of
Supporting local businesses helps strengthen the area we all call home.
Community Involvement and Real Work Don’t Always Follow a Perfect Plan
This year, there were moments when original job plans shifted, and schedules changed, but that didn’t stop the Apex team from stepping in where help was needed. Instead of walking away or rescheduling, crew members adjust their time, stay flexible, and help however they can, simply being an extra set of hands when a client needs support. Our willingness to adapt and give back (even when circumstances change) reflects how Apex operates every day.
Other Ways Apex Gives Back
While Christmas Storybook Land is a highlight of the holiday season, it’s only one example of how Apex contributes to the community. Beyond that, Apex Property Clearing regularly invests time and energy into community projects that matter in Linn, Benton, and Marion counties. Our team has volunteered their time to many local organizations, provided cleanup support and equipment for projects, and partnered with city and county organizations to improve public safety and open spaces. Even leadership roles, such as board involvement with local nonprofits, demonstrate that Apex gives back with personal time and dedication.
Gratitude for a Community That Comes Together
Apex is grateful to be part of a community that values generosity, collaboration, and tradition.
We want to thank:
- All organizers and volunteers of Christmas Storybook Land.
- Weyerhaeuser for donating the trees.
- Our own crew and families for stepping up once again.
Events like Christmas Storybook Land remind us why community involvement matters. We’re proud to serve the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Continuing to Serve Beyond the Jobsite
As Apex Property Clearing & Recycling continues to grow, our commitment to the community will never change. Throughout the new year, we will continue to support local events and nonprofits, volunteer, and always put people first. Community involvement is part of who we are as a company.
